scouting is hard.

Today, I spent the evening on an epic quest to uncover the best restaurants in the Philadelphia suburbs. Armed with my laptop and a full pot of coffee, I became a detective of the culinary world. I diligently scoured websites and Instagram accounts, taking notes like I was cramming for a final exam in food appreciation. I quickly discovered which restaurants were Instagramming like it was their second job and which ones were just recycling the same three photos from 2018.

My ultimate mission? To create a travel route for dropping off information and cards for the upcoming season, which I’m hoping will pop off like a surprise birthday party. This year, I’m aiming to hold onto a few retainers, dreaming of four. It’s like trying to juggle while riding a unicycle, but I believe I can pull it off with my part-time job. Who knew balancing life could feel like performing in a circus?

On a different note, I’m also on the lookout for a stylist. The search feels oddly similar to dating in my 40s. The really talented stylists seem like they are swiftly swiped off the market before I even have the chance to say, “How do you do?” Here’s to navigating the challenges ahead while I continue this journey. Cheers to blog post 2 and the culinary adventures that lie ahead!
